My one regret (ok, that’s a lie, one of my many regrets) is that I did not travel when I had the chance. I didn’t have a passport until I was 29. I always told myself that there would be time for that later, and possibly there will be.

But I never had that enlightening experience that many others my age have. I never got drunk with locals, or ate something that would never make it past the FDA here.

I would tell people coming out of college now that yes, there is in fact a finite amount of time before you’re saddled with a job and responsibilities. And don’t get me wrong, I love my job, and I love the stress that comes with it, but in the end, you are not able to make up those years. Go out. Explore. Work will be here when you’re done.
